Businessman Gagik Tsarukyan started his business activities from 1980-ies. During 1990-1992 Gagik Tsarukyan was the executive director of “Armenia” Company. Starting from 1992 he was involved in animal husbandry activities. He established a dairy production enterprise in Arinj village, Abovyan Region (now Kotayk Marz). 

In 1995 Gagik Tsarukyan founded and presided "Multi Group" concern, which now includes «Kotayk» Abovyan Beer Factory, Abovyan factories of Measuring Equipments, Yerevan Chemical Pharmaceutical Company, "Mek"  Network of Furniture Stores, Yerevan Ararat  Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory, «Ararat»  cement Factory, «Aviaservice» JSC, «Aviasnund»  Enterprise, "Multi Leon" Network of gas-filling, petrol  stations,   "Multi Stone" stone Processing Company and other companies and organizations.

"Mek" Network of Furniture Stores which was founded by Gagik Tsarukyan is a part of "Multi Group" company since 1997. "Mek" LLC is the first company which enabled Armenian consumers to obtain foreign furniture after the collapse of USSR.

In 2002, Yerevan “Ararat” Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory was given a new lease of life after having a new owner and after becoming a part of “Multi Group" Concern. With the efforts made by Gagik Tsarukyan 50 million US dollar-equivalent Armenian drams were invested for the modernization and constructional works, in obtainment of new line of bottling and oak barrels.
Gagik Tsarukyan took care of one matter the essence of which lies in the specialists and technologists of the factory restoring the factory's wealth of experience that was accumulated during many years of the company’s existence by means of the old manuscripts, museum exhibits and family archives. The lost glorious name Armenian Cognac was also restored. "Ararat" Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory is one of the unique factories, where 50 and more years old cognac spirits are kept. 

In 2002, upon the initiaitve of Gagik Tsarukyan "Multi Group Stone" stone Processing Company was established in Abovyan. Gagik Tsarukyan invested  8 million USD equivalent Armenian drams n this factory and by that step opened new vacancies for RA citizens. Factory production has also a high demand in foreign countries. Armenian production is consumed in Canada, Germany and Russia. Now more than 400 specialists are employed in the factory, which were trained by a high-quality experts invited from Italy.

"Ararat-Cement" CJSC is a part of "Multi Group" Concern since 2003. In 2005, by the efforts of Gagik Tsarukyan, innovative works have been carried out in the factory, which extremely promote the increase of the product quality. Now the production of "Ararat-Cement" is being exported to neighbor countries – Georgia, Iran and Iraq.

"Multi city House" company is now a part of "Multi Group" Concern. The company builds apartment and office buildings. Gagik Tsarukyan made perceptible investments in this company by having an objective of laying down conditions for the company in order to build high-quality, earthquake proof, ecologically safe buildings.

"Multi Group" Concern which was established by Gagik Tsarukyan provides huge amount of money for charity, as well as finances different projects and state institutes. "Multi Group" Concern is the sponsor of Armenian National Olympic Committee.
